Collan Baird, CF-L1 Trainer & CF Weightlifting Certified

Collan Baird is our head trainer and lead programmer. He holds a BS in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from California State University, Sacramento. In addition, he holds a USAW Olympic Lifting Certification and CrossFit Weightlifting Certificate. Collan strives to maintain a facility that encourages participants of all levels to reach their potential, knowing and interacting with each member on an individual, first-name basis.

Marissa Treece, CF-L1 Trainer & CF Weightlifting Certified

Marissa is an avid athlete and competitor at heart. These qualities show through in her coaching style, leading and inspiring her classes through example. Prior to CrossFit, she was a Division 1 athlete at the University of Notre Dame, competing in Cross Country, indoor, and outdoor Track and Field, and in 2008 represented the United States Junior National team in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Scott Burge, CF-L1 Trainer

With a lifelong interest in pursuing personal fitness and sports- from basketball and tennis to distance running and weightlifting, Scott found Crossfit in 2013 and was hooked immediately. As a masters age (42) athlete, Scott is sensitive to all levels of performance and loves to help members achieve what they didn’t think possible.

Victor Valdez, CF-L1 Trainer & CF Gymnastics Certified

Victor Valdez has immersed himself sports and fitness for his entire life.  Growing up he was an avid baseball player, football player and a sprinter. He received his black belt in TaeKwonDo at age 9 and has practiced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and MMA; he has also taught these martial arts to participants of all ages.  He enjoys rock climbing, intramural sports, hiking, camping, and helping others reach an optimum level of fitness. 

Wayne Posh, CF-L1

Wayne joined Pipeworks back in 2012 for the rock climbing but stayed for CrossFit. He has been teaching high school English since 2008 and brings his passion for learning and teaching to the CrossFit coaching staff. Wayne consistently finds ways to improve his own athletic knowledge and actively encourages those around him to do the same. Outside of the gym, he loves running, going to the movies, and is an EMT pursuing further training in paramedicine.
